OUR COMMON GROUND

Respect the person.
Challenge the claim.

Strong opinions belong here. So do evidence, curiosity and the willingness to change your mind.

Choose what you share.

Your display name, region if provided, discussions and replies are public. A pseudonym is welcome. Your email is private. Don’t publish client material, private messages, access credentials or identifying details about someone else. Membership is free and email updates are optional.

Bring context and evidence.

Distinguish a sourced fact from an opinion or personal experience. For legal or regulatory claims, include the jurisdiction, date and official source when possible. Community contributions are members’ views and have not been independently verified by PrivacyAF. Disclose commercial interests. Don’t present a post as individualized legal advice.

Make room for people.

Disagree with ideas without harassment, threats, hate or personal attacks. Don’t impersonate people or organizations. Don’t post spam, unsolicited promotions, unlawful material or instructions to invade someone’s privacy. Privacy is global; explain local context and welcome different experience levels.

Understand moderation.

Use Report on a contribution to flag a concern. Reports go privately to the founder for manual review. The founder can hide contributions, close replies or pause a member’s posting access. There is no automatic publication of reports and no promise of continuous monitoring. Contact support@privacyaf.com to appeal a decision.

Stay in control.

You can edit or remove your own published contributions. Removing a discussion also makes its replies unavailable publicly; it does not erase other members’ records. Your membership page lets you update your profile, download your own contributions, turn off email updates and sign out on one or all devices. Paused posting access does not remove these controls. Contact us for account deletion or other privacy requests. Signing in does not enroll you in email updates. Follow a discussion to keep it in your private Following list. You choose when to mark replies read; opening a page does not clear the marker. Unfollowing removes that record. Following does not send emails.

What we retain.

We store your verified email and community identity, profile, contributions and moderation records to operate the community. Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and sessions after seven days. Expired sign-in records are removed during subsequent sign-in requests. Other records currently have no automatic deletion schedule. See our privacy notice for details.
