Strong opinions. Clear evidence.

PrivacyAF / Public information

01

Distinguish the claim

Our position on privacy is an opinion. Claims about a product, a surveillance system or a policy should be attributed to a source. A maker’s description is not independent verification.

02

Use primary sources

Field notes link to relevant sources when making specific factual claims. Readers should be able to inspect the original material and understand the limits of the claim.

03

Disclose relationships

Product links are currently non-affiliate links. No IAPP, ACLU, Flock or manufacturer partnership is implied. Paid placements or affiliate relationships must be disclosed if introduced.

04

Keep AI accountable

AI-generated campaign images are identified as digitally created concepts. AI drafts require human review before publication. Automation is not evidence and does not establish expertise.

05

Correct the record

When information is challenged, compare it against the underlying source and revise inaccurate claims. Date-sensitive material needs a fresh source check before reuse.

06

Respect professional boundaries

Our content provides general perspective, not legal advice, certification or a compliance assessment. Legal conclusions depend on the facts and jurisdiction.
