How updates reach everyone
Open maps check PrivacyAF’s shared records every 30 seconds. Viewed OpenStreetMap areas become eligible for refresh after 10 minutes. Our source, CCCHH’s Surveillance under Surveillance, says its OSM database updates hourly. Upstream processing, caching and outages can delay changes. There is no live camera feed or guarantee of instant updates.
How contributions work
Sign in, place the camera, add a public source and date, then submit it for review. Pending reports are private to you and the reviewer. Approved reports appear for everyone on their next check. Our reports do not automatically edit OpenStreetMap.
What a marker means
A marker is a mapped record or reviewed community submission, not a verified active device. Brand, operator, viewing direction and survey dates may be missing or wrong. We do not infer camera coverage, facial recognition, retention rules or legality from a pin.
